SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

Please follow the following simple instructions to setup your Web hosting service.

Setting up your Web Hosting Account is a very simple process.  Simply provide the information requested in the form below.   If you ordered this service by credit card, the order number is the last 9 digits shown under "Order number" in your "Order confirmation" page which you should have printed.  It also appears in the authorization e-mail that you should have received (or should receive when you check your e-mail).  If you ordered by Fax/Mail, the order number is stamped on your form.The items in blue are required.  The items in black are not because we should have received that information with your credit card, fax/mail, or phone order.

A "no match" means the domain is available.  Anything else means that it is not! 
In this case try something different.  Once you select a domain name, we will
register it for you free of charge.  However, in the process you will be asked to read
and forward an agreement that will be sent to us by Network Solutions, the registration
authority for top level domains (.com, .net, and .org) on the Internet.  We will provide you with directions on how to do this.  Like everything else in Carolinas.net, it is very simple.

The desired host user name you provide must be between 4 and 8 characters in length.  This is the account name and password that will enable you to publish information to your web site.  It should not consist of simple names such as "mary" or "steve" but of a combination of the first and last names such as "maryw" or "marwhi" (for Mary White) or any other combination you can think of.  Digits are allowed as well.  The desired host user password must also be between 4 and 8 characters and it should be something that you can remember easily such as your birth date, family member's name, etc.  The Personal Web Host comes with two POP e-mail addresses.  One of which will be the same as the host user name/password and one additional for you to also setup in the form below using the same naming suggestions as specified above. The Business Host and E-Commerce Business Web Host come with unlimited POP e-mail capabilities which you will setup using the Virtual Control Panel provided to you once your account is setup.   However, for these two accounts you will also need to provide a host user name and password.  For the E-Commerce web, once your account is setup you will be provided with instructions on how to apply for your credit card merchant account through 1st Commerce Corporation as well as any other items that may be needed to setup the transaction gateway (the software that securely connects to your credit card transaction server).  If you do not understand this right now, that is OK.  It will explained to you later.  Simply fill out the information requested below.
